A gruesome incident of murder in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh has shaken the local community. Pawan Singh, a man residing in Gitanjali Nagar Colony of Uslapur, has been accused of murdering his wife, Sati Sahu, cutting her body into six pieces, and hiding them in a water tank with the help of polythene and tape for the last two months. The police uncovered the murder while investigating a fake note printing operation in Singh’s house, which locals had reported due to the foul smell emanating from the premises.
The police team, upon reaching the spot, questioned Singh and found the dismembered body hidden in the water tank. Singh confessed to the crime, revealing that he suspected his wife of having an extramarital affair. He killed her on January 6, 2023, and disposed of her body in the water tank using a tile cutting machine.
Singh, who had been living in the rented house with his wife and two children, left the children in the village after continuous disputes with his wife. He then returned to Bilaspur and committed the gruesome murder. The police arrested Singh before he could find the hidden body, which was wrapped in polythene and pasted with tape.
The incident has left the local community in shock and has raised concerns about the safety of women. The police have launched a thorough investigation into the matter and are taking necessary actions to ensure justice is served.
