Raipur – In an extraordinary display of commitment to Chhattisgarh’s development, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for a staggering 7,300 diverse development projects valued at ₹6,080 crores. This momentous occasion unfolded during a state-level virtual program hosted from the Chief Minister’s residence office in the capital city of Raipur.
Simultaneously, a district-level event took place at the PG College auditorium in Ambikapur, the district headquarters of Surguja. The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp before an image of Chhattisgarh Mahtari, symbolizing the state’s maternal identity.
The Chief Minister, via the virtual medium, presented the district with projects amounting to ₹203.44 crores, comprising the inauguration of 128 projects valued at ₹53.75 crores and the foundation stone laying for 134 projects valued at ₹149.69 crores.
In his address, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel underscored the Chhattisgarh government’s unwavering commitment to enhancing infrastructure while concurrently elevating the income levels of its citizens. He emphasized that, in addition to the remarkable strides in education and healthcare, the government has been diligently executing a plethora of public welfare projects benefiting diverse segments of society, including farmers, laborers, forest dwellers, youth, and women. These initiatives have garnered attention and acclaim across the nation.
The event was attended by several distinguished guests, including Labor Welfare Board Chairman Mr. Shafi Ahmed, Vice Chairman of the Twenty Point Program Implementation Committee Mr. Ajay Aggarwal, Mayor Dr. Ajay Tirkey, Collector Mr. Kundan Kumar, Superintendent of Police Mr. Sunil Sharma, District Panchayat Vice President Mr. Adityeshwar Sharan Singhdev, Chhattisgarh Telghani Board member Shri Lakshmi Gupta, MIC member Shri Dwitendra Mishra, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Shri Abhishek Kumar, and District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Shri Nutan Kumar Kanwar. During the event, beneficiaries of various departmental schemes received materials and checks as follows:
- Livestock Development Department: ₹4,000 each to 5 beneficiaries under the Male Goat Distribution Scheme
- Labor Department: ₹20,000 each to 4 beneficiaries under the Noni Empowerment Scheme
- Horticulture Department: Marigold flowers distributed to 2 beneficiaries
- Agriculture Department: Agricultural mini kits distributed to 2 beneficiaries
- Fisheries Department: Nets and ice boxes provided to 2 beneficiaries each
- Health Department: Ayushman cards distributed to 5 beneficiaries
