In Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, a violent dispute broke out between two groups during the immersion of Lord Vishwakarma’s idol. The conflict escalated when one group objected to the other group’s dancing to a DJ, leading to a retaliatory attack involving sticks and knives, resulting in the tragic death of one youth. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Bilha police station.
Saeed Akhtar, the station in-charge, provided details of the incident. He explained that a group of young residents from Pandarava had gone out on Monday to participate in the immersion of Lord Vishwakarma’s idol. During their journey, they encountered Aman Dhruv, who was standing on the road and using offensive language.

To defuse the situation, Tukesh Netam and his friends, namely Akash, Ravi, and Raja Netam, advised Aman to cease his inappropriate behavior. However, this advice led to an escalating dispute. Onlookers managed to calm the situation, and the group of youths proceeded to continue the immersion.
Subsequently, Aman Dhruv sought revenge for the earlier altercation. He gathered his friends near the village school. At around 9 pm, while Tukesh and his friends were returning home after the idol immersion, Aman and his associates intercepted them. Aman confronted Tukesh and launched an attack with sticks and knives. When Tukesh’s friends attempted to intervene, they were also brutally assaulted. Tukesh sustained severe injuries during the assault and tragically lost his life.
In response to the incident, the police initiated a case against the attackers, including charges of rebellion, murder, and attempted murder. The authorities promptly apprehended all the accused. While the accused claimed that their intent was not to cause death, Tukesh succumbed to the extensive beating and stabbing during the dispute.
