The Durg Police initiated a significant operation under the ambit of the Jio Khulkar drug de-addiction campaign, resulting in the apprehension of an individual involved in the illegal sale of intoxicating tablets.
During a targeted intervention, law enforcement officials intercepted and apprehended a girl engaged in the unlawful sale of intoxicating tablets. The accused was purportedly profiteering from the sale of these illegal substances.
The swift action by the authorities led to the successful capture of the accused directly from the site of the illicit drug sale. A substantial seizure of 4,800 pieces of Alprazolam Rlam 0.5 tablets, valued at approximately Rs 45,000, was confiscated from the accused.
Following the arrest, the accused was presented before the judicial authorities and subsequently remanded into judicial custody. The proceedings regarding this incident were conducted at the Mohan Nagar police station.
The Durg Police have reaffirmed their commitment to combatting illegal drug trafficking and have pledged to sustain their efforts in cracking down on illicit drug dealers within the region.
