The Congress party has taken a stern stance by issuing a show cause notice to former MLA Brihaspat Singh, concerning allegations made against Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) in-charge Selja. This action was taken in response to statements made by Brihaspat Singh, who has been directed to respond within a three-day period.
Malkit Singh Gaidu, the In-charge General Secretary, has initiated this formal notice addressed to Brihaspat Singh, indicating serious concerns over his public allegations against senior leaders and the state in-charge following the 2023 Chhattisgarh Assembly Elections. The notice underscored that these baseless allegations, reported in various media outlets and social media platforms, have raised apprehensions regarding the party’s image, prompting the State Congress Committee to take this matter gravely.
The official notice highlights, “In light of the directives from the State President, a show cause notice is being issued to you. It is requested to provide a written reply or clarification to the State Congress Committee within a span of 3 days from the receipt of this notice.”
This significant step signifies the party’s commitment to maintaining decorum and addressing internal matters promptly while upholding the party’s integrity.
