7 Maoists Arrested in Joint Operation by CRPF and Chhattisgarh Police in Sukma District, Chhattisgarh”
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Chhattisgarh Police arrested 7 Maoists in a joint operation in the Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. The individuals were members of the banned Communist Party of India (CPI) Maoist party’s Revolutionary People’s Council (RPC) militia. The operation was conducted in Kondavai village by the 141 Battalion of the CRPF and Chhattisgarh Police.
The CRPF carried out the operation with caution to prevent any Maoist resurgence. The troops searched the area throughout the night and located hidden weapons, ammunition, and explosives. The CRPF and Chhattisgarh Police’s efforts, along with the creation of Forward Operating Bases, have reduced Maoist activity in the state.
The 7 individuals had been RPC members for varying lengths of time, with Satyam, Joga, Manga, and Unga being members for 3 years, Aitha and Joga for 2 years, and Bheema for 1 year. The CRPF is tasked with providing internal security in Naxal-affected states and will continue to conduct search operations with caution for public safety.
