BJP MLA Brijmohan Agrawal has accused Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel of being responsible for the recent murder of a BJP leader in the Narayanpur district. Agrawal stated that law and order is the responsibility of the state government, and since the Chief Minister is in charge of the government, he should take responsibility for the murder and provide compensation of INR 1 crore to the families of the deceased workers. He further added that the government should ensure that Naxalites do not harm the workers or the common people in the coming days, and that the Chief Minister talks a lot about Naxalism having ended since the formation of his government, but the recent murders show otherwise.
Agrawal criticized the government’s negligence, which he believes is giving Naxalites the freedom to commit crimes openly. He stated that the government’s inaction could be seen as the Naxalites being allowed to kill BJP workers under the government’s protection. He condemned the act and warned that the Congress would be held accountable in the future if the government failed to act.
Agrawal also criticized the Chief Minister’s lack of action against the Naxalites who killed their leaders, including the recent murder. He added that the Naxal activities in the state were gradually decreasing due to the central government’s actions, but the negligence of the state government is causing an increase in such activities.
The MLA also criticized the government’s ban on protests, stating that the state has become so dictatorial that it has banned them from staging a protest on the streets. He expects the new governor to be appointed in the state to maintain the law and order situation, reduce corruption, control the mafia raj, and ensure that people get their rights in the state.
