With the goal of winning over tribal voters, Bharatiya Janata Party national president JP Nadda is set to visit the Bastar region of Chhattisgarh on February 11th. The tribal-dominated region holds a significant importance in the upcoming Assembly polls and is crucial to the formation of the government. To gain the trust of the tribal community, BJP is leaving no stone unturned.
According to party sources, Nadda will address a public rally at the railway ground or Lalbagh Maidan in Jagdalpur, hold a series of meetings with senior BJP leaders in Chhattisgarh, and participate in other events in the district, including addressing party workers.
As the Assembly elections draw near, Nadda is seeking to infuse enthusiasm among BJP workers in the state. The party’s state general secretary, Kedar Kashyap, has taken stock of preparations for Nadda’s visit and given instructions for his stay in Bastar.
The famous quote “The path to power in Chhattisgarh passes through Bastar” highlights the significance of the region, with its 12 seats playing a crucial role in the formation of the government. Both BJP and the ruling Congress are ramping up their campaign efforts for the upcoming elections, set to take place by the end of the year.
