Chhattisgarh has made a historic achievement by winning medals for ten consecutive times in the Senior National Softball Championship, held in Odisha. The state team has won the bronze medal in the 44th national championship. In their journey to the semifinals, Chhattisgarh defeated several top teams, including Kerala and Manipur, and secured a spot in the super league by topping the pool. However, they lost to Punjab in a closely contested tie-breaker but were given another chance to compete. The women’s team also had a strong start but eventually lost to the previous champions, Kerala, and the pool topper, Punjab. Despite the losses, Chhattisgarh’s record-breaking performance in the championship is a testament to their excellence in the sport.
