The Divisional Task Team, under the leadership of Amiya Nandan Sinha, Inspector General Resub Bilaspur and Sanjay Kumar Gupta, Divisional Security Commissioner Raipur, has been continuously tracking down the suspects involved in the theft of passenger luggage. The criminals were monitored through CCTV and today, on 26-02-23 at 12.30 pm, the team successfully apprehended the suspect, Rajesh Chauhan, near the tricolor flag in front of the main gate of railway station Raipur.
The arrest was made by the Divisional Task Team RPF Raipur in-charge A Z Chowdhary, Sup. V. Bahadur, P.A. VC Banjare, Devesh Singh, Vinay Yadav, and P.A. Deepak Mishra of GRP Raipur, along with VK Toppo, based on the call detail record in relation to mobile theft. The suspect was operating the stolen mobile phone, a Samsung Galaxy Company model M 31 in black color worth Rs 16000 / тАУ which was registered in GRP Police Station Raipur, crime number-69/2022 Section-379 IPC dated 30-06-2022.
On inquiry, the suspect revealed his name, address, and admitted to stealing the mobile phone from a passenger boarding AC bogie of train no. The suspect’s father’s name is Anuj Chauhan, age – 32 years, resident – Bajrang Nagar, near water tank, behind Durga Mandir, police station – A resident of Azad Chowk, District-Raipur (Chhattisgarh). The suspect was presented before the Hon’ble Court Raipur.
The Divisional Task Team’s efforts, along with the guidelines of AIOSEO, have resulted in the successful apprehension of the suspect and recovery of stolen property.
