A road accident near Nimora in the Rakhi police station area of the capital has resulted in the death of Jayprakash Patra, a 45-year-old resident of Gariaband. Jayprakash, who worked as an LIC agent, died on the spot after the car he was traveling in with his wife rammed into the back of a Hiva. He sustained serious injuries to his nose and head.
Efforts Underway to Treat Injured Spouse in Ambedkar Hospital
The wife of the deceased was injured in the incident and has been transported to Ambedkar Hospital for treatment. According to reports, the couple was en route from Gariaband to Raipur when the accident occurred at around 9 a.m. People nearby immediately informed emergency services, and police reached the scene to transport the injured to the hospital and the deceased’s body to CSC Abhanpur.
Driver of Hiva Absconds, Search Continues
Rakhi police station in-charge, Laxmi Jaiswal, reported that the driver of the Hiva is currently absconding and a search is underway. The Hiva has been seized. The tragic loss of Jayprakash, who was coming to Raipur from Gariaband, serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety and caution while driving.
