Raipur, Chhattisgarh – Under the guidance of Transport Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar, the Transport Department of Chhattisgarh has efficiently operated the new facility ‘Tunhar Sarkar Tunhar Dwar’, sending 17 lakh 93 thousand 435 smart card based registration certificates and driving licenses to the applicants’ homes from June 2021 till now. Out of the total, 12 lakh 23 thousand 595 smart card based registration certificates and 5 lakh 69 thousand 840 driving licenses have been issued.
The ‘Tunhar Sarkar Tunhar Dwar’ scheme is an important scheme for the convenience of the people, providing 22 transport-related services to the people by delivering them at their doorstep. The scheme was initiated under the intention of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. By this people-centric facility, people no longer need to visit the Transport Department again and again, saving both money and time of the applicants.
Transport Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar is constantly monitoring the smooth functioning of ‘Tunhar Sarkar Tunhar Dwar’. In order to make this service more accessible, the Transport Department has issued a helpline number, 75808-08030, which works from 10 am to 5.30 pm on all working days, providing information related to the service. Applicants can also get the desired information by sending their mail to the e-mail ID provided.
At present, on average, 100 calls are being received daily by the helpline number, which mostly relates to driving license and registration process, taxes, and fees. The scheme has eased the application process for Chhattisgarh residents, enabling them to access these services from the comfort of their homes.
The scheme has been well-received by the people of Chhattisgarh, who appreciate the efforts of the Transport Department and the government in making their lives easier.
