In the run-up to the highly anticipated Chhattisgarh assembly elections, the political landscape of the state has become increasingly intense. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress party have been tirelessly maneuvering to gain an advantage in the complex web of political equations and stakes. Notably, Kumari Selja, the Congress general secretary and in-charge of Chhattisgarh, has convened a crucial meeting at the state Congress headquarters, Rajeev Bhawan Raipur, on Tuesday. The meeting, led by PCC Chief Mohan Markam, aims to devise a special strategy to address the forthcoming assembly elections. Additionally, discussions regarding the Vidyansabha monsoon session and booth management are expected to take place.
Simultaneously, the Chhattisgarh BJP Legislature Party held a late-night meeting at the residence of Narayan Chandel, the Leader of Opposition in Raipur. During the meeting, which extended into the wee hours, Chandel announced that the BJP intends to present a no-confidence motion against the Bhupesh government. If necessary, the party may also seek cooperation from the MLAs of BSP and JCCJ.
Chandel emphasized that the no-confidence motion would serve as a platform to shed light on the fundamental issues plaguing Chhattisgarh, including the alarming instances of corruption such as the Coal Scam, Liquor Scam, PSC Scam, and Ration Scam. He painted a stark picture of the Congress government, alleging rampant corruption within its ranks. Chhattisgarh’s Bhupesh government, according to Chandel, has earned itself the dubious distinction of being a corruption chieftain. The people of Chhattisgarh, disheartened and disillusioned, crave change, and winds of transformation are sweeping through the state. The BJP pledges to become the voice of the people in the assembly, amplifying their concerns and aspirations.
