Bilaspur: A disturbing case involving the creation of counterfeit caste, residence, and income certificates using forged seal-signatures of Tehsildar Atul Vaishnav has come to light in Bilaspur. Following a formal complaint filed by Tehsildar Atul Vaishnav, the Civil Line Police Station has initiated a thorough investigation into the matter.
The fraudulent activities were brought to the forefront due to the ongoing recruitment process for Anganwadi workers and assistants in the Women and Child Development Department. The application submission deadline for these positions was Tuesday. However, it was discovered that alongside their applications, counterfeit manual caste, residence, and income certificates were being submitted. These forged certificates bore a fake seal and signature of Tehsildar Atul Vaishnav. Notably, this illicit practice involved active brokers operating within the Tehsil office premises.
The fraudulent certificates were issued under the names of individuals Sadhna Ahirwar and Gayatri Khare. In response to the alarming discovery, Tehsildar Atul Vaishnav promptly conducted an investigation, leading to the seizure of counterfeit caste, residence, and income certificates from broker Mukesh Khare. During interrogation, Mukesh Khare confessed to creating these counterfeit documents. He revealed that he collaborated with advocate Ramkumar Surya in the production of these fraudulent certificates.
In light of the evidence and the gravity of the situation, the Civil Line Police have registered a case against the accused individuals. The investigation into this counterfeit certificate scam is currently underway. Authorities are committed to uncovering the full extent of the scam and bringing the culprits to justice. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining the integrity of official documents and the diligent efforts required to combat fraudulent activities in administrative processes.
