In a program organized by the Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission, aimed at raising awareness about the significance of yoga and motivating people to adopt a healthy lifestyle, Shri Pradeep Sharma lauded the historic achievement of the commission in securing a place in the Golden Book of World Records. Highlighting the importance of health, Shri Gyanesh Sharma commended Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel for entrusting the commission with a vital responsibility. In response, the commission initiated around 50 regular free yoga practice centers across the state to promote yoga from villages to urban areas.
Parliamentary Secretary Shri Vikas Upadhyay expressed his congratulations and emphasized that yoga safeguards not only the body but also the mind and wealth. He underlined Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel’s commitment to public health by establishing free yoga centers in over 90 percent of the wards in his constituency. Dr. Kiranmayi Nayak encouraged all yoga practitioners to share their knowledge by teaching yoga to at least ten people each, with the aim of breaking even more records next year.
The group yoga practice session included various asanas, pranayama, and meditation, in addition to Setubandha Asana. The event witnessed the participation of eminent personalities such as Mr. Kuldeep Juneja, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Housing Board, Mrs. Chitrarekha Sahu, Vice President of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, and members of Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission, including Mr. Rajesh Nara, Mr. Ravindra Singh, and Mr. Ganesh Yogi. Dr. Suresh Sharma, President of Sanskrit Vidyamandalam, IG Mr. Ratanlal Dangi, and representatives from Prajapita Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya also joined the event. The presence of numerous yoga instructors, enthusiasts, and common citizens added to the program’s vibrancy.
