Chhattisgarh’s concerted efforts to promote agriculture and livestock are yielding significant results, particularly in the rapid expansion of milk production. Recognizing the interdependence of animal husbandry, agriculture, and business, the state is witnessing agricultural progress that aligns with the prosperity of its farmers. Innovative rural development initiatives, when effectively implemented, create an enabling environment for robust economic growth. These sentiments were echoed by Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel during his participation in the Shri Krishna Janmashtami procession organized by the Kosaria Yadav Mahasabha at the old bus stand in the district headquarters of Durg.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Baghel extended his warmest wishes to the society on the occasion of Janmashtami. He emphasized the revered status of Lord Krishna as an icon of the Yadav community. The event featured a splendid procession organized by the society in celebration of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, showcasing various avatars of Lord Krishna. Chief Minister Baghel encouraged attendees to draw inspiration from Lord Krishna’s diverse forms.
In Chhattisgarh, the government’s commitment is to support all communities and promote their participation in the state’s development journey. To facilitate this, the government has made land available to various societies at prices significantly below market rates based on their requests. This initiative has been instrumental in enabling societies to acquire affordable land for building infrastructure. These facilities have been used for various social events, including weddings, and creative activities.
Chief Minister Baghel noted that the Yadav community, like others, can avail themselves of this opportunity by submitting applications to the Collectorate. Once land is allocated, the government will provide the necessary funds for constructing buildings, creating more opportunities for social and creative endeavors.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Baghel highlighted the state government’s substantial efforts in generating employment. Besides government service appointments, there has been a strong emphasis on skill development and entrepreneurship. Initiatives like RIPA have created opportunities for enterprising youth.
The Chief Minister extended his congratulations and best wishes to the participants of the Shobha Yatra on the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami. During the welcome address, the President of Kosaria Yadav Samaj Durg, Mr. Bodhan Yadav, brought various demands of the society to Chief Minister Baghel’s attention.
The event was attended by Durg MLA Mr. Arun Vora, Bhilai MLA Mr. Devendra Yadav, Durg Mayor Mr. Dheeraj Bakliwal, Bhilai Mayor Mr. Neeraj Pal, Vice Chairman of the State Minority Commission Mr. R.N. Verma, District Cooperative Central Bank President Shri Rajendra Sahu, and other officials and members of the Kosaria Yadav society.
