The divisional meeting of the BJP business cell took place at Ekatm Complex in Raipur. State convenor Labchand Bafna addressed the program and criticized the Congress government’s treatment of the business community in Chhattisgarh. Bafna stated that since the formation of the Congress government in the state, there have been continuous murders of business people, and criminals are not afraid of the law. He also accused the state government of terrorizing traders by starting the Inspector Raj. In contrast, the BJP government abolished both the Inspector Raj and octroi, leading to greater economic development.
Addressing the in-charge of the cell, Shankar Aggarwal, Bafna emphasized the vital role played by the business community in the formation of the country and the state government. Despite this, the business community is the most oppressed under the current government. Aggarwal stated that if the ₹11,000 crore sent by the Prime Minister for building houses for the poor had been directed towards trade, it would have helped the entire society and brought prosperity to merchants in Chhattisgarh.
Aggarwal appealed to all office bearers of the cell present to participate in the Vidhansabha gherao organized on March 15. The program was also addressed by Mukesh Sharma and Subhash Aggarwal, while the vote of thanks was given by State Cooperation Minister Mr. Nitesh Dubey. Many prominent office bearers and workers of the entire state were present at the program.
