The Chhattisgarh Unauthorized Development and Construction Authority Committee held a meeting at the collectorate hall under the chairmanship of Dhruv. The Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur Collector Mr. P.S. presided over the meeting, and 28 cases were resolved in the meeting.
The cases included 14 in urban areas and 14 in rural areas. In the meeting, the Superintendent of Police Mr. T.R. Koshima, Sub-Engineer of Municipality Mr. Premprakash Dubey, and Member Secretary Assistant Director Town and Country Investment Mr. Sanjulal Singh were also present.
The Chhattisgarh government has a special scheme to regularize cases falling within a radius of 120 square meters free of cost. In the meeting, 16 cases in 08 urban areas and 08 in rural areas were regularized free of cost. In the remaining 12 cases, a penalty of Rs one lakh 50 thousand 896 was imposed.
During the meeting, the Collector and the Chairman of the Regularization Authority Committee instructed the Commissioner Municipal Corporation Chirmiri and all the municipal officials to resolve the cases related to regularization expeditiously. He directed the officers to present 100 cases of unauthorized development and construction in the upcoming meeting.
Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district is conducting a special campaign to bring unauthorized development and construction in urban areas under the ambit of regularization. The officials of the urban bodies are fast redressing the cases coming under the ambit of unauthorized development and construction by taking applications from the concerned. Collector Mr. P.S. is organizing ward-wise camps under the guidance of Dhruv.
It is noteworthy that as per the instructions of the government, the process of taking applications for regularization of unauthorized development and construction has started from July 14, 2022, and application for regularization can be made within one year from this date. Assistant director town and village investment said that the application for regularization will have to be submitted through the form architect.
Before the notified date i.e., July 14, 2022, the construction of the building will have to be given a certificate, electricity bill, copy of property tax, and other necessary self-attested documents. Building map prepared by corporation’s registered architect or architect, copy of building plan, approved building permission by competent authority, photo copy of building completion certificate, if available, will have to be given in Affidavit A and B for regularization of unauthorized development.
The Chhattisgarh Unauthorized Development and Construction Authority is taking active measures to regularize unauthorized development and construction in urban areas. The recent meeting was a step forward in resolving cases and imposing penalties on the violators. The Authority is working tirelessly to ensure that the special scheme of the Chhattisgarh government reaches the maximum number of people.
