In a remarkable gesture of recognition, Mr. MAK Miki, Chairman of the International Scout Guide Fellowship Asia Pacific Regional Vision 2025 Committee, was felicitated by Mr. Kim Won Yung, the Governor of Jeollabuk-do Province, South Korea, on September 6, 2023. This prestigious award acknowledges Mr. Miki’s outstanding contribution during the final leg of the Mission World Scout Jamboree 2023.
During their meeting, the leaders shared strategies and ideas to strengthen the fellowship between their two countries and further deepen their friendship with India. In a reciprocal gesture of goodwill, Governor Kim Wan Yung was honored by Mr. MAK Miki with a Chhattisgarhi gamchha (traditional scarf) and a memento on behalf of Indian Scout Guide Fellowship and ATAS India.
Indian Scout Guide Fellowship and ATAS India were represented by a 29-member team at the recently concluded World Scout Jamboree in South Korea, under the guidance of National President and retired Chief Justice of Orissa High Court, Mr. Kalpesh Jhaveri. The delegation included key figures such as Mr. Prem Prakash Sharma, President of Chhattisgarh Atas Chapter, and Mr. Jitendra Sakhre, Vice President. Prior to their visit, the Chhattisgarh state delegation had the honor of meeting Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, who extended his congratulations and best wishes.
