In a significant gathering, bank Mitras representing various banks in Betul district initiated a Mahasammelan meeting on Sunday. The event commenced with the worship of Amla Maa Renuka Mata and saw the participation of bank Mitras and bank sakhis from different financial institutions.
During the conference held on the 10th of the month, bank Mitras from nationalized banks across Betul district congregated at the Maa Renuka Mata temple in the Chhawal village of Amla block. The discussion revolved around issues related to economic, physical, and mental exploitation carried out by private companies. Concerns were raised about the reduction in wages provided by the Government of India to private companies, with cuts ranging from 40 to 60 percent since 2014. Despite the Prime Minister’s announcement of a monthly honorarium of Rs 5,000 for Bank Mitras, no such compensation has been disbursed to date.
In a unanimous decision, all bank Mitras vowed to launch a statewide agitation against the exploitation perpetuated by private companies.
The meeting was attended by several key figures, including District President Praveen Soni, Vice President Subhash Uike, Secretary Ritesh Rathore, Assistant Secretary Krishna Arya, Treasurer Krishna Wagdre, General Secretary Kamlesh Kumbhare, Organization Minister Kaushal Ghohke, Organization Secretary Sanjay Waikar, Media Incharge Premkumar Pandey, and Advisory Board member Rajkumar Wamankar, along with Nitesh Rathore, Raju Barange, Kamlesh Dadhore, and Vishnu Yadav officials.
Chhindwara’s Bank Mitra Union President, Rambharosh Jamhuria, and Raju Rathore, also graced the Maa Renuka Mata Temple event. The Bank Mitra Mahasammelan witnessed the presence of more than 300 bank Mitras who collectively voiced their concerns against economic exploitation by private companies.
