In the lead-up to the upcoming assembly elections in Chhattisgarh, both the BJP and Congress have intensified their preparations. Central leaders from both parties have been visiting the state and engaging in regular meetings.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who recently visited Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh on September 30, is set to return to the state for another significant event. On October 3, PM Modi will address an election rally at the historic Lalbagh ground in Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh.
The BJP has launched extensive preparations for the Prime Minister’s rally and is anticipating a crowd of thousands of people. The event is scheduled to begin at 11 am on October 3 at Lalbagh Ground.
However, the scheduled rally coincides with a call for a Bastar Bandh by the Sarva Adivasi Samaj on the same day. The bandh has been organized to protest against the privatization of the Nagarnar NMDC Steel Plant.
BJP state in-charge Om Mathur and Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya recently visited Lalbagh Ground to inspect the meeting venue, review seating arrangements for the general public, and discuss logistics with the administration and police officials. They also discussed the route to and from the meeting location.
The upcoming assembly elections have brought a surge of political activity and preparations in Chhattisgarh as the state gears up for the electoral contest.
