A devastating road accident unfolded near Sector-8 Chowk in Bhilai Nagar, resulting in a tragic loss as two friends riding a bike met with a fatal collision. The bike, traveling at speed, lost control and collided with a central divider, causing severe head injuries to both individuals.
Upon being alerted by nearby witnesses, authorities were notified. The Dial 112 emergency response team swiftly arrived at the scene and rushed both victims to Sector-9 hospital. Regrettably, medical professionals at the hospital pronounced the youths, identified as Avinash Verma (22) and Aviyansh (16), as brought dead.
Reportedly, the duo was heading from Bhilai to Durg after a tea break when the mishap occurred. It appears that a loss of balance led to their bike colliding with the divider, causing them to fall. Neither of them was wearing helmets, resulting in serious head injuries upon impact.
Responding promptly to the distress call, the Dial 112 team from Bhilai Nagar police station, in collaboration with local law enforcement, transported both victims to the hospital. Unfortunately, despite efforts, the injuries sustained proved fatal, leaving behind a tragic incident on the Bhilai-Durg route.
