Following the advent of the new government in Chhattisgarh led by CM Vishnu Dev Sai, a whirlwind of administrative reforms has swept through the state, signaling a proactive approach toward public interests. In a late-night administrative surgery, a total of 88 IAS officers have been transferred, with 18 districts witnessing the appointment of new collectors.
Among the pivotal changes, the responsibility of Raipur’s Collector now rests with Gaurav Kumar Singh, while Vipin Manjhi and Abhijeet Singh take on the roles of Narayanpur and Kanker Collectors, respectively. Notably, the former Raipur Collector, Dr. Sarveshwar Bhure, assumes the position of Secretary at the Chhattisgarh State Election Commission.
The redistribution of responsibilities extends across various districts, with key appointments as follows:
- Anurag Pandey takes charge as Bijapur Collector.
- Bhoskar Vilas Sandipan assumes duties as Surguja Collector.
- Ranbir Sharma steps in as the new Collector of Bemetara.
- Pushpendra Kumar Meena, former Durg Collector, transitions to the role of Secretary at the Public Service Commission.
- Sanjay Aggarwal assumes the position of Rajnandgaon Collector.
- Namrata Gandhi assumes duties as the new Collector of Dhamtari district.
Additional appointments include Ajit Vasant as Korba Collector, Inderjit Singh Chandrawal as the new Collector of Balod, Richa Prakash Choudhary as the new Collector of Durg, and D. Rahul Venkat as the Collector of District Manendragarh-Bharatpur-Chirmiri.
Furthermore, the restructuring encompasses key municipal and public relations roles, with Abinash Mishra taking over as the Raipur Municipal Corporation Commissioner and IPS Mayank Srivastava appointed as the Commissioner cum Director of Public Relations.
