Raipur’s DD Nagar police station has made an arrest in connection with a distressing incident where a husband is accused of fatally shooting his wife. The unfortunate attack allegedly took place due to suspicions regarding the wife’s character. The accused has been charged under Crime number 524/23, invoking IPC Section 307 for the shooting and an offense under the Arms Act, highlighting the severity of the incident. This tragic event has led the authorities to take swift action, initiating legal proceedings against the accused for the alleged crime committed within the DD Nagar jurisdiction.

Raipur Police conducted a successful operation near Yaduvanshi Chowk, situated in Hirapur under the jurisdiction of Kabir Nagar police station, resulting in the apprehension of suspects in possession of a banned drug. Approximately 15 grams of the banned substance heroin, commonly referred to as “Chitta,” valued at around Rs 1,50,000, was confiscated from the accused during the operation. The police have registered a case, Crime number 246/2023, against the individuals under Section 22(a) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at the Kabir Nagar police station, initiating further legal procedures related to the seizure and apprehension.
