Famous Bollywood singer Kailash Kher was recently subjected to an attack during a live performance at the Hampi Utsav in Karnataka. The incident took place when two individuals threw a water bottle at the singer, demanding that he perform a Kannada song.
Kailash Kher is known for his soulful voice and powerful performances, having contributed vocals to hit songs such as “Teri Deewani” and “Chand Sifarish.” The singer was in Lucknow just two days prior, performing at the three-day Uttar Pradesh Diwas, where he sang some beautiful Sufi melodies.
The Hampi Utsav, which began on January 27, is a first-of-its-kind festival held since the establishment of the new Vijayanagara district. The festival features performances by various artists including Arjun Jannya, Vijaya Prakash, Raghu Dikshit, Anannya Bhath, and Arman Mallik, in addition to Kher.
The attack on Kailash Kher at the Hampi Utsav has caused outrage among fans and the music community, with calls for stringent action against the individuals responsible. The authorities have arrested the two individuals involved in the incident and are investigating the matter.
