Border Security Force (BSF) jawans successfully recovered a country-made pistol, a gun and 30 live cartridges that were hidden by Naxals in Chhattisgarh’s Kanker district on Monday. The operation was conducted based on intelligence input and the jawans of COB Amabeda 135 Vahini recovered the weapons and cartridges 500 meters away from a waterfall in the west direction.
Inspector General (IG), Frontier Headquarters (Special Operations), Border Security Force, Chhattisgarh, Indraj Singh, praised the jawans for their efforts in thwarting the Naxal’s attempt to harm civilians. He said that the BSF is committed to ensuring the safety of the common citizens and will continue to act with bravery and honesty for their protection.
Recently, an encounter broke out between the Chhattisgarh police and Naxalites in the Useli forests in the Amabeda area, 20 km away from the district headquarters. The Naxalites fled after the encounter, but not before 26 different types of equipment were recovered.
The success of the Border Security Force in recovering the weapons and foiling the Naxal’s attempts at harm shows their dedication to maintaining peace and security in the area. The Chhattisgarh government and security forces are working together to tackle the Naxal threat and ensure the safety of the citizens in the state.
