The Gudhiyari police have apprehended Omkar Tiwari, the director of Masala Center, for assaulting a woman in the Gudhiyari area of the capital. Tiwari is being interrogated by the police regarding the incident. The victim’s brother, Lochan Chauhan, filed a report at the Gudhiyari police station, alleging that Tiwari repeatedly harassed his sister to return to work at the Masala Center, despite her refusal.
On the evening of February 18, when the victim’s brother was at work, his mother called him and requested him to come home immediately. When he arrived, he found that Tiwari had stabbed his sister in the neck and hand with an iron plate. The victim’s mother informed the victim’s brother that Tiwari had previously threatened to marry her and claimed that she would become his daughter.
The police have registered a case against Tiwari under sections 307 Bhadvi of the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act of 25 and 27. The Gudhiyari police began investigating the incident and questioned the victim, her family members, and the applicant. They conducted extensive raids to apprehend Tiwari and eventually arrested him. The police also confiscated the iron plate used in the attack.
The victim was immediately taken to the hospital and received medical treatment for her injuries. The police have not yet disclosed the motive behind the assault or Tiwari’s defense. However, they are committed to conducting a thorough investigation and ensuring that justice is served.
