In Mahasamund, three teachers from Chhuiyapali have been arrested and sent to jail after being accused of talking obscenely with female students. The parents of the students filed a complaint against the teachers at the Komakhan police station, which led to a case being registered and action being taken against the teachers.
The three teachers – one primary school teacher and two middle school teachers – have been charged under several sections of the law, including Sections 354, 292, 34 Bhadvi, 67 IT Act, Section 8, 10 of the Posco Act, and Section 3 (2) of the Scheduled Tribes Act 1989.
The students reported that the teachers showed them obscene videos, made inappropriate physical contact, and talked in a vulgar manner. The girls also stated that the teachers came to school drunk and abused them. The teachers even threatened the villagers, saying that they would not be able to do anything for the students.
The villagers immediately informed the education officer and the police post about the teachers’ behavior. Station in-charge Komakhan Tuhlu Chowki is leading the investigation into the case.
