Congress leader Vinod Tiwari has submitted a letter to Raipur SP, urging action against the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) for allegedly inciting youths, spreading negativity, and resorting to intimidation tactics. In the letter, Tiwari highlights the progress made in various competitive examinations in the state after the court lifted the reservation-related ban in the past. The recent declaration of the State Service Examination 2021 results by the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission has instilled hope and positivity among the state’s youth.
Tiwari states that the BJYM has been propagating allegations of irregularities in the State Service Examination 2021, including suspicions surrounding the selection of officers’ children. The party has reportedly amplified claims of corruption within the Public Service Commission through media and social media channels. Moreover, there is alleged pressure on parents and coaching institutes to encourage students to participate in protests related to the commission. Tiwari asserts that such coercion is morally wrong and legally objectionable.
The letter also mentions the circulation of a letter by former IAS officer OP Chaudhary, which was allegedly shared among PSC aspirants. The letter raises allegations of leaked question papers and claims that the son of an administrative officer received the question paper. Based on this letter, the BJYM and BJP have organized widespread protests, urging young individuals to join the movement.
Tiwari emphasizes that while the BJP and BJYM have the right to raise concerns against the state government, pressuring coaching institutes to participate in the movement and intimidating parents and students is unacceptable. He encourages individuals preparing for competitive exams to voice their objections independently on appropriate platforms, rather than becoming puppets of any political party. Tiwari condemns the politics of pressure employed by the BJYM.
