Akaltara, Pamgarh, Masturi, – Dr. Raman Singh, former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh and the National Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), embarked on a Parivartan Yatra, making pivotal stops at Akaltara, Pamgarh, and Masturi. At these locations, he addressed the gathered masses, emphasizing the accomplishments of the 15-year BJP government and the 9-year tenure of the Modi government at the Centre. Simultaneously, he launched a scathing attack on the Congress party.
Dr. Raman Singh asserted that the government led by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has, in the last five and a half years, only excelled in one aspect – pilfering the state’s resources. He accused the government of betraying the promises outlined in its manifesto, including commitments to implement a liquor ban, provide unemployment allowances, and regularize various aspects of governance. The former Chief Minister wryly commented that the four symbols that once represented Chhattisgarh’s identity—Narua, Garua, Ghurua, Bari—have now been replaced with allegations of theft, dishonesty, corruption, and looting against the Congress party.
Furthermore, Dr. Raman Singh leveled serious allegations against Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s administration, highlighting significant scams in Chhattisgarh. He cited a loss of Rs 600 crore in various scandals, including a Rs 5,000 crore PDS scam, a Rs 5,000 crore PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana scam, a Rs 2,161 crore liquor scandal, and the sale of youth job rights through CGPSC for substantial sums. Dr. Raman Singh expressed confidence that the state’s youth would seek retribution for these actions.
In a startling revelation, Dr. Raman Singh brought attention to the Gauthan scam, drawing a comparison to Lalu Yadav’s infamous fodder scam in Bihar. He alleged that Bhupesh Baghel’s government had surpassed Lalu Yadav’s record by orchestrating a Gauthan scam amounting to Rs 1,300 crore and a cow dung scam of Rs 229 crore.
The former Chief Minister did not spare the Congress government on the matter of rising crime rates in the state, mentioning incidents such as the Bhilai massacre, Biranpur massacre, Kawardha incident, Mahadev online betting app, and the disturbing rape of a minor in the ASI office parking lot in Raipur. He voiced his concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in Chhattisgarh.
Dr. Raman Singh’s fiery address during the Parivartan Yatra left no doubt about his commitment to raising crucial issues and holding the current government accountable for its actions.
