In a significant political development, local farmer leader Yogesh Tiwari has announced his decision to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Tiwari, who wields influence in the region, had initially planned to formally join the BJP on October 1 in a ceremony attended by top party leaders at Raipur’s Ravana Bhata Maidan. However, due to the busy schedules of central leaders, the event has been rescheduled to October 7. The organizers are aiming to draw more than 20,000 people from the assembly constituency to witness Tiwari’s induction into the party.
Speaking about his decision, Yogesh Tiwari praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party for enhancing India’s global standing and delivering on their promises to the nation with unwavering honesty. Tiwari emphasized that the benefits of the Modi government’s public welfare initiatives have directly reached the common people, particularly the underprivileged, laborers, and women. He highlighted various schemes such as the Ayushman Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Toilet Scheme, Mudra Loan Scheme, free grain distribution to poor families, Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, Har Ghar Jal Pehchane Jal Jeevan Mission Yojana, among others, which have significantly improved the quality of life in rural areas.
Yogesh Tiwari expressed his admiration for the BJP’s principles and policies and cited them as the driving force behind his decision to join the party. His move reflects a growing sentiment of support for the BJP and its leadership in the region.
