Dr. LK Mohanty, a resident of Sector-9, Bhilai, filed a police complaint regarding a distressing incident of burglary at his residence. Mohanty and his family were away in Hyderabad and had securely locked their house before departing. Entrusting the keys for watering the garden to their maid residing in the servant quarters behind the house, they were shocked to receive a call on the morning of the 3rd reporting a break-in.
The maid informed about a broken gate and locks, along with ransacked interiors and open cupboards. Upon their return from Hyderabad, they discovered that valuable jewelry and cash had been stolen by the intruders who forcefully entered the house by breaking the locks.
In another unfortunate incident, a cook named Kailash Vaishnav, hailing from Tarpungi Dharsiwan village, faced physical assault due to a wage dispute. Working as a senior cook at NH 30 Dhaba in Purur village, Vaishnav approached his employer, Sagar alias Rinku Madhvani, around 8:30 PM on the 3rd to collect his pending wages.
Instead of settling the dues, Madhvani allegedly threatened and assaulted Vaishnav, using force and hurling a boulder at his foot, causing injury. The case has been officially registered with the Purur police, initiating investigations into the assault incident.
