Raipur : In a significant crackdown on illegal drug activities, Raipur Police apprehended two individuals, Kulwinder Singh and Nishanji Singh, hailing from Punjab, in the Kabir Nagar area. The police seized approximately 60 grams of narcotic drug Heroin (commonly known as Chitha) and 570 intoxicating tablets from their possession. This operation was carried out in accordance with the provisions of Section 21b and 22 of the NDPS Act, leading to the arrest of the accused. The Raipur Police remains committed to combating the illicit drug trade, ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.

Pt. Ravi Shankar University, known for its frequent exam result controversies, has encountered another issue. In the recent PhD entrance exams, not a single student passed in seven departments out of 714 participants. The PhD entrance examination, administered by Pt. Ravi Shankar Shukla University, saw a disappointing outcome, with no successful candidates in seven subjects: Mathematics, Biotechnology, Botany, Defense Studies, Geography, Management, and Physical Education.
