Tragically, three people have lost their lives due to suffocation in Balrampur district of Chhattisgarh, India. The kiln owner, Rajdev Cherwa, who was 28 years old, along with Banwa Cherwa, 42, and Anuj Cherwa, 19, were killed while they were sleeping on a brick kiln. The men were residents of the village of Khajuri and were related to each other, with Banwa and Anuj being brother-in-law and relative of the youth, respectively.
The events leading up to the tragedy started on Sunday, when Rajdev and his family members collected bricks and made a kiln to cook the bricks. After setting the kiln on fire, the four men went to sleep on top of the kiln to avoid the cold and in a drunken state. In the middle of the night, Ajay fell off the kiln and woke up. When he tried to wake the other companions, they didn’t respond, leading Ajay to inform the villagers about the tragedy.
The news of the tragedy has deeply affected the villagers of Khajuri and the families of the deceased. The police have investigated the matter and have stated that the three men died due to suffocation while sleeping on the kiln. The police have also advised people to be cautious and avoid sleeping on such kilns.
