In Janjgir district of Chhattisgarh, a female YouTuber, Ishika Sharma, has been found dead in her own bedroom under mysterious circumstances. The 22-year-old YouTuber was also a lawyer by profession and the daughter of a journalist, Gopal Sharma. She lived with her parents and brother in ward number 18 of Janjgir. According to the police, they are treating the matter as a murder and are currently on the lookout for a man who had come to meet Ishika in the absence of her parents.
Ishika had completed her LLB degree from TCL Law College and had started practicing law this year. She was also working as an anchor in a local YouTube channel and did modeling. On the day of the incident, Ishika’s parents had gone to Korba for some work, and only her brother Aryan was present at home. Aryan had called one of Ishika’s friends to their house. According to Aryan, they had dinner together on Sunday night, and after that, he fell into a deep sleep. When he woke up on Monday afternoon, the door of his room was locked from outside, and Ishika was lying unconscious on her bed.
When Ishika’s father, Gopal Sharma, called Aryan and Ishika on Monday, they did not answer his call. So, he called the security guard and got the door broken. He found Ishika dead, and her mobile phone and scooter were missing. The police were informed, and they collected forensic evidence from the spot and conducted the post-mortem of Ishika’s body to determine the exact cause of her death.
The police are now on the lookout for the man who Ishika had called and who was also her friend, according to Aryan. They believe that he may have known what happened on Sunday. The police are waiting for the post-mortem report to decide whether it is a case of murder or Ishika died due to some other reason.
