The Jharkhand unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched an attack on Banna Gupta, the state Health Minister and a Congress leader, after a purported video chat between him and a woman went viral on social media. In response, Gupta has denied the video’s authenticity, calling it “fake and edited.”
The BJP has demanded Gupta’s resignation and an investigation into the matter, calling for the Congress to clarify its position on the “obscene and objectionable” video. Nishikant Dubey, the BJP MP from Jharkhand, shared the viral clip and claimed that it exposed the true face of the Congress.
Pratul Shahdeo, the BJP spokesperson in Jharkhand, spoke to ANI and stated that the viral video allegedly showing the Health Minister is highly objectionable. While the veracity of the clip has not yet been ascertained, Shahdeo believes that it is the responsibility of Chief Minister Hemant Soren to order a probe to determine whether the clip is genuine or doctored, given that Gupta is a member of the state cabinet. He added that if the video is found to be genuine, Gupta should resign immediately.
In response to the BJP’s claims, Gupta accused them of engaging in vindictive politics, claiming that the video is part of a conspiracy to tarnish his reputation.
In conclusion, the controversy surrounding the purported video chat involving the Jharkhand Health Minister has caused a political upheaval in the state, with the BJP demanding his resignation and an investigation, while Gupta has denied the video’s authenticity, citing it as part of a political conspiracy. The issue remains unresolved, and it is up to the authorities to investigate and ascertain the truth behind the video.
