In a significant development, the Chhattisgarh state government has carried out a major reshuffle of IPS officers, resulting in the transfer of several officers, including the Superintendent of Police (SP) in 12 districts, such as Durg and Bemetara. Notably, Durg SP Abhishek Pallav, who has garnered attention in the past, has been entrusted with the new responsibility of Kabirdham district, while Shalabh Kumar Sinha, the SP of Kanker district, has been appointed as the SP of Durg district.
The transfer orders were issued by Manoj Kumar Srivastava, Under Secretary of the State Government in Chhattisgarh, and the details of the new postings of Indian Police Service (IPS) officers were shared through the official Twitter handle of the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) Chhattisgarh. A total of 15 IPS officers have been reassigned to different positions and districts, as per the list.
Among the notable changes, IPS Lal Umed Singh, who was previously the SP of Kabirdham district, has been transferred to Balrampur district as the new SP. IPS I Kalyan Elesela has taken charge of Surajpur district, moving from Bemetara district. IPS TR Koshima has been posted to the Fighter Corps Bilaspur, having served in the Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district. Furthermore, IPS Abhishek Pallav has been relocated from Durg district to Kabirdham district, while IPS Mohit Garg has been assigned to the Fighter 19th Corps in Jagdalpur from Balrampur district. IPS Bhavna Gupta has been moved from Surguja to Bemetara as the new SP.
IPS Shalabh Kumar Sinha has been transferred from Kanker district to Durg district, while IPS Divyang Kumar Laljibhai Patel has assumed the role of SP in Kanker district, having previously served in Kondagaon district. IPS Siddharth Tiwari has been reassigned from Dantewada district to the Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district. IPS Sunil Sharma has moved from Sukma district to Surguja district, and IPS Kiran Gangaram, who was previously an Additional SP in Sukma district, has been promoted to the position of SP in Sukma district. IPS Yeduvelli Akshay Kumar has been transferred from Mohla Manpur district to Kondagaon district, while IPS Gaurav Rampravesh Rai has been appointed as Additional SP at the ACB Headquarters in Raipur and as the SP of Dantewada. Additionally, IPS Ratna Singh has been designated as the SP of Mohla Manpur district after serving as an Additional SP in Bhanu Pratap Kanker.
These significant transfers aim to bring about effective leadership and strategic management in the police force across different districts of Chhattisgarh.
