In a recent development in Bilaspur, a resident named Umendra Sahu from Mopka has lodged a written complaint with Collector Saurabh Kumar. Sahu alleges that his land, located in village Mopka and identified as Khasra No. 1357, has been encroached upon and leveled by nearby landholders Sheru Aslam and Mohsin Khan. Furthermore, Sahu claims that he is being threatened by them, asserting that the disputed land belongs to them.
Taking the complaint seriously, the Collector promptly forwarded the letter to SDM Bilaspur for immediate action. The SDM has issued an order under Section 145 CrPC to maintain status quo and has summoned both parties along with their respective documents for a hearing on June 28, 2023. Additionally, a letter has been sent to the police to initiate a report and the Municipal Corporation Bilaspur has been urged to take legal action against the irregular development.
While the complaint specifically names Sheru Aslam, it is noteworthy that Mohsin Khan is also being issued a notice as the land is registered in his name. The Sarkanda police station has submitted a report recommending preventive action against Sheru Aslam.
This incident has caused significant unrest and raises concerns about the protection of property rights and legal disputes in the area. Authorities are actively investigating the matter to ensure a fair resolution.
