Raipur Smart City Ltd., under the guidance of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, organized a special event called “Mor Raipur Darshan” on the occasion of the 8th anniversary of the Smart City Mission. The event, scheduled for June 26th, aimed to raise awareness about the various projects undertaken by Raipur Smart City Ltd., with the participation of senior citizens, Divyangjan (persons with disabilities), youth, and city residents, along with several organizations.
The “Peacock Raipur Darshan” commenced at 10 am from the Sadar Bazar City Kotwali premises, located on the 6th floor of the Raipur Smart City Ltd. headquarters. Participants were treated to a bird’s eye view of the city from this viewpoint. The tour program included visits to JR. Dani School, Heritage Walk Route, Kankali Talab, Historical Anand Samaj Reading Room, RD-operated Swami Atmanand Excellent School Scheme, newly constructed Tiwari School building, Nalanda campus for competitive exam aspirants, the city’s state-of-the-art traffic management and surveillance system, efficient command center, Shaheed Memorial Auditorium, Oxygen Zone near Nandkumar Patel Chowk, Ghadi Chowk, Chhattisgarh Mahtari statue site, and multilevel parking, among others.
Additionally, a special bus tour was organized to showcase the completed projects related to pond and garden conservation and promotion by Raipur Smart City Ltd. in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. Participants had the opportunity to explore the beautification work carried out in Indravati Colony Garden, Telibandha Talab, Budha Talab-Swami Vivekananda Sarovar, STP (sewage treatment plant), Dabri Talab, Halka Talab, and Aarchi Talab.
To join the tour program, interested citizens and organizations are required to register in advance. The registration deadline was set for June 25, 2023, at 3 pm. The tour program began at 10 am from the Raipur Smart City Ltd. office and concluded at 6 pm. Raipur Smart City Ltd. arranged transportation, snacks, and meals for the excursion participants.
