Azad Chowk, Chhattisgarh: In a proactive operation, law enforcement authorities apprehended 19 individuals red-handed while engaging in illicit gambling activities in a public building situated behind the revered Shiv Mandir in Sonkar Para, under the jurisdiction of the Ganj Police Station. The operation resulted in the confiscation of Rs 81,500 in cash, 18 mobile phones, and a cache of playing cards, collectively valued at approximately Rs 2,00,000.
The crackdown on this unlawful gambling operation was carried out under the provisions of Crime number 312/23, sections 04 and 05 of the Chhattisgarh Gambling Prohibition Act. The individuals involved now face legal action in accordance with the pertinent legislation.
