The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has officially unveiled its manifesto for the upcoming assembly elections in Chhattisgarh. The manifesto, known as ‘Sankalp Patra,’ was launched by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. It outlines a comprehensive vision for the state, emphasizing development and addressing critical issues.
Speaking at the launch event, Amit Shah described the BJP’s manifesto as a “resolution letter” and stressed the party’s commitment to bringing Chhattisgarh into the mainstream of development. He reminded the audience that the BJP had played a crucial role in the establishment and progress of the state, which had transformed from a Bimaru state to a thriving one during its fifteen-year governance.
Amit Shah expressed the party’s determination to continue this trajectory of development in the coming five years. He asserted that during the BJP’s previous tenure in Chhattisgarh, they had successfully eradicated Naxalism from the state. He also accused the current Chhattisgarh government of engaging in caste-based politics and appeasement, pointing to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel as an impediment to the state’s development.
Furthermore, Amit Shah highlighted the feedback he received from various OBC (Other Backward Classes) leaders, who indicated that a change in the Chhattisgarh government was imminent. He cited the BJP’s track record of bringing rapid development to the state.
