Chhattisgarh’s political landscape witnessed a significant development as the Vishnudev Sai Cabinet expanded this morning with the administration of oaths to nine new ministers in an esteemed ceremony held at Raj Bhavan. Governor Vishwabhushan Harichandan presided over the event, administering the oath of office in the presence of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai.
The oath-taking commenced with the induction of seasoned leader Brijmohan Aggarwal, the Raipur South MLA, who has served as a minister in Chhattisgarh for an uninterrupted period of 15 years. Following him, Ramvichar Netam, a distinguished senior BJP tribal leader and former head of various government departments, was sworn in as a minister.
Subsequently, Navagarh MLA and former minister Dayaldas Baghel took the oath, succeeded by Kedar Kashyap, the Narayanpur MLA with a ministerial tenure spanning 15 years. Joining the roster of new ministers, Korba MLA Lakhanlal Dewangan and Manendragarh MLA Shyam Bihari Jaiswal were administered the oath.
The ceremony continued with the induction of Raigarh MLA OP Chaudhary, followed by Bhatgaon MLA Laxmi Rajwade, and concluded with Balodabazar MLA Tankram Verma being sworn in as ministers. The solemn oath ceremony was conducted by Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain.
The event witnessed the presence of various dignitaries, including Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Deputy Chief Ministers Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma, newly appointed State BJP President Kiran Singh Dev, alongside BJP MLAs and organizational officials. Blessings and felicitations were exchanged between the ministers, Governor, and Chief Minister during the ceremony, marking a new chapter in Chhattisgarh’s political landscape.
