Narayanpur, Chhattisgarh – In a tragic incident, BJP Vice President of Narayanpur district, Sagar Sahu was shot dead by Naxalites in Chhote Dongar, a heavily Naxal-affected area in Narayanpur. According to the family members, a group of people dressed in rural costumes came to the door and upon opening, shot Sagar who was sitting in the front. Despite immediate efforts to take him to the Narayanpur district hospital, he died on the way.
Additional SP of Narayanpur, Hemsagar Sidar, informed that the police received information about the incident and rushed to the scene. During the interrogation, the family members revealed the sequence of events. The preliminary investigation suggests that a small action team of Naxalites was behind the shooting. Sagar was already on the target of the Naxalites and the incident took place between 8 to 8:30 PM on Friday night.
The news of Sagar’s death has sent shockwaves throughout the area and there is an atmosphere of panic. BJP leaders from the district have started to arrive to pay their respects. The police is investigating the incident and searching for the members of the small action team of Naxalites responsible for this tragic loss.
Sagar Sahu was a long-standing member of the BJP and had recently been appointed as the Vice President of Narayanpur district. This tragic event serves as a reminder of the ongoing threat of Naxalite violence in the region and the need for continued efforts to maintain peace and stability.
