Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel criticized former CM Raman Singh over the state’s reservation issue, stating that Singh is contradicting his previous statements on the reservation quota. Baghel claims that the present reservation bill passed in the assembly contains a total quota of 76% while Singh says it’s 82%. Baghel also accused the BJP of being anti-farmer and criticized the Governor’s Secretariat for misusing their powers regarding the reservation bill.
Baghel commented on the Adani issue, stating that the central government should answer for the money of crores of people deposited in LIC and SBI and not run away from the discussion. BJP state president Arun Sao retorted, claiming that the Congress party is taking away reservation and accused Baghel of playing politics on the issue. Sao also stated that the BJP fully supported the reservation bill in the assembly and called for it to be given to the people of Chhattisgarh soon.
