Residents in several areas of Raipur will face water supply disruptions due to planned repair works on a damaged rising main line of an 80MLD filter plant. According to Satnam Singh Panag, incharge of the RMC water works department, water supply will be suspended on Tuesday in some areas and will face partial disruptions on Wednesday.
Overhead tanks in areas such as Danganiya, Ganj, Gudhiyari, Rajendra Nagar, Telibandha, Shankar Nagar, Khamtarai, Bhanpuri, Idgahbhatha Old Tank, and Shyam Nagar will be affected by the suspension, while other areas will have normal water supply.
The RMC has asked residents in the affected areas to store enough water for their daily needs during the supply cuts. The repair work is expected to be completed within the planned timeframe and regular water supply will be resumed as soon as possible.
This type of maintenance work is necessary to ensure the proper functioning of the water supply system and to prevent any unforeseen disruptions. The RMC has requested the cooperation of residents in the affected areas and apologized for the inconvenience caused.
