On Tuesday morning, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) initiated raids at more than a dozen locations associated with Pradeep Yadav, a Congress MLA from Podaihat. Out of the targeted locations, at least 10 are situated in Ranchi. These raids are being carried out in connection with an ongoing Income Tax case. It should be noted that on November 4, 2022, the Income Tax Department had previously conducted searches at the premises of MLA Pradeep Yadav and Bermo MLA Kumar Jaimangal Singh, also known as Anoop Singh. During the earlier raid at Pradeep Yadav’s residence in Godda, several documents were seized.
Upon analyzing the recovered documents, the Income Tax Department referred the case to the Enforcement Directorate. As new information emerged in the investigation, the ED has resumed the raids. The ED team, accompanied by MLA Pradeep Yadav, has also reached the hideouts of builder Shiv Kumar. It is alleged that Shiv Kumar’s involvement in a land scam case is under suspicion.
The ongoing investigation aims to gather evidence and ascertain any potential wrongdoing related to the Income Tax case and the alleged land scam. The ED’s raids signify a significant development in the inquiry into Pradeep Yadav’s financial activities and potential links to illicit transactions or unaccounted wealth.
