Raipur – In a significant stride toward bolstering the district’s progress, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has presented a gift of 83 development projects valued at a substantial ₹145.33 crores to the local populace. This remarkable gesture was extended during a virtual inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony held from the Chief Minister’s official residence in Raipur.
The generous allocation encompasses 22 projects with an estimated cost of ₹97 crores initiated under the Bhoomi Pujan category, while an additional 61 projects, valued at ₹47.70 crores, were inaugurated. The virtual program, held in the district office’s meeting room, saw the presence of key officials, including Collector Shri Prabhat Malik, District Panchayat CEO Shri S. Alok, representatives from the Public Works Department, RES, Water Resources, CMO, and various construction agencies.
Among the inauguration initiatives are three projects by the Public Works Department, 22 projects under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, 30 projects under the Public Health Engineering Department, and six projects managed by the Health Department. Meanwhile, the Bhoomi Pujan category comprises 13 projects by the Public Works Department, two projects by the District Resources Department, and seven projects by the Urban Body.
Notable projects within this expansive development agenda include the construction of high school buildings in Naugudi (Basna) and Singhoda (Saraipali), a new rest house in Bagbahra, and the creation of 22 roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Additionally, the implementation of the Har Ghar Jal Yojana across 30 villages as part of the Jal Jeevan Mission and the establishment of a blood bank in Tumgaon are pivotal contributions under the Health Department’s purview. Other vital undertakings consist of 10-bed isolation facilities in Bagbahra, a 20-bed isolation unit at Community Health Center Basna, the construction of buildings in Sub Health Center Bichhiya and Torresingha, and the development of an Ayush Poly Clinic.
Further augmenting the district’s infrastructure, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel marked the foundation stone laying ceremony and Bhoomi Pujan for projects such as Swami Atmanand English Medium College facilities, classroom and boundary wall construction, stadium upgrades in Mahasamund, the construction of the Rama Dabri road from Bawankera village, and the Swami Atmanand English Medium College in Mahasamund. Furthermore, the initiative encompasses bridge and culvert construction, including access roads for middle schools.
Within the Mahasamund Municipal Body’s purview, the ambitious plan incorporates the construction of 12 CC drains, the development of 15 CC roads, and the establishment of four accessible toilets in various wards. These projects collectively signify a substantial step towards comprehensive development and growth within the district.
