Chhattisgarh – Arun Sao, the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has strongly criticized the Congress-led state government for its alleged biased actions against the majority Hindu community. This criticism follows the recent verdict by the Sessions Court in the Biranpur case, in which all eight accused were acquitted.
Sao accused the state government of failing to take appropriate action against the accused in the murder of Bhuneshwar Sahu, a case related to alleged incidents of Love Jihad in the area. He also alleged that the government was filing false cases against Hindu youth in other incidents, creating an atmosphere of fear and pressure within the majority Hindu community.
Sao read out the decision of the Sessions Court, which acquitted individuals from the majority community falsely implicated in the arson incident in Biranpur. He argued that the court’s decision supports the BJP’s claims that the government has been unfairly targeting the majority Hindu community. Despite the family of the deceased Bhuneshwar Sahu providing names of 40-41 accused, only 11 individuals were arrested, and the remaining accused remain at large.
Sao’s statements reflect the ongoing political tensions and allegations surrounding religious conversion, Love Jihad, and alleged bias in Chhattisgarh.
