A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan, Binu M, attached to the 85th Battalion, committed suicide on Tuesday morning in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur. According to reports, the 37-year-old shot himself with his service rifle inside his barrack in the battalion headquarters around 9.30 am.
When colleagues rushed to the barrack after hearing the gunshot, they found Binu lying in a pool of blood. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, he was declared brought dead. Binu was a resident of Kerala and had returned to work after a leave just three days ago. No suicide note was found at the scene.
The tragic incident has raised questions about the well-being and safety of our CRPF jawans, who work tirelessly to protect and serve the nation. The authorities are currently investigating the incident to determine the cause of the suicide and offer support to Binu’s family.
