Raipur, Chhattisgarh: Bollywood stars, including Sohail Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani, and Sharad Kelkar, along with many Bhojpuri, Tamil, Bengali, and Kerala stars, were seen at the Raipur airport on Friday evening. They arrived to participate in the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) 2023, which will be held in Raipur from 18 to 19 February.
Apart from Bollywood actors, actors from Bhojpuri, Bengal, Punjab, and South industry have also reached Raipur to play cricket matches with each other in the cricket stadium of Raipur. Actor and cricket show anchor Sameer Kochhar, Bollywood actor Salim Saqib, brother of Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi, and Tamil actor Arya were also seen at the airport.
The opening match will be played between Bengal Tigers and Karnataka Bulldozers after the start of CCL 2023 on 18 February in Raipur. The second match will also be played on the same day between Chennai Rhinos and Mumbai Heroes, while on 19 February, Kerala Strikers will clash with Telugu Warriors, and Bhojpuri Dabangg will clash with Punjab The Lions.
Celebrity Cricket League has been organized for the past nine years, and this year, eight teams are participating. The matches’ preparations have been completed, and film personalities like Ritesh Deshmukh, Sunil Shetty, Sohail Khan, Manoj Tiwari, Ravi Kishan, Sonu Sood, and Dinesh Lal Yadav will be seen playing in the match to be held in Raipur.
The CCL has become a popular event among cricket and Bollywood enthusiasts, bringing them together to celebrate their passion for the game and entertainment. The tournament’s success can be attributed to its unique concept, where film stars get to showcase their cricketing skills on the field.
